Pad is down... Once again.

I have been coughing for the past 2 weeks and the condition seems to be the same or maybe worse =.=
Oh wells, can't blame anybody but myself. I have not been taking much fruits,water, no exercise and most importantly, LACK of SLEEP.
Yesterday, I felt the worst. I felt my heart pounding hard against the chest wall and sometimes irregular heartbeats. This was felt when I took deep breaths. I got so worried and ask mummy if I should see a doctor.
I thought that this could be led to a heart problem >.<
She did this "reiki" thingy on me and I did feel better after awhile (Maybe because I calmed down?)
Anyway I suspect it could be due to some stubborn and very dry phlegm got stuck in the throat near the chest and its obstructing the airways. Not very serious, just uncomfortable :(

I hope my body recovers soon and the problem would go away.

Next, I am going to emo again.
I just feel like I am also second, never the first. Like in this scenario, you came because I was linked from else where not because you genuinely wanted to visit. Don't understand? Never mind, you don't have to. It is too embarrassing to state things clear.

Looks awesome isn't it?? We are lucky to see clear blue sky the first few days.

SF can get really fogging most of the time.

- Dry grasses along the road of the Northern part of California -

The grasses are normally yellowish and dry at the northern area of California as weather is very dry, especially during summer and it is not close to the bay are (where there is fog).

Pier 39 is one of the more popular piers in SF along the bay. We went to try the cheaper roadside food which sells stuffs like hotdog and clam chowder. It seems like clam chowder is a very popular soup dish as every restuarants food store are selling.

Thumbs up for the soup! They are really generous with the ingredients.

Sad to say SG's soup taste is just a minimal fraction of theirs.

Its summer time but apparently the weather is cooling.

How nice to drink beer in such a weather :)

The strawberries and cherries were humongous an delicious .

We had In-N-Out burger, a fast food restaurant, famous for serving fresh food.

They made burgers, sliced french fries on the spot. The food they served were all cooked to order.

However to me, i thought it tasted normal.

Lol and it is buffet can! OMG

Hometown Buffet served pancakes, waffles, scones, bread, eggs, meat, fruits etc.

All my favourites!!! Can't get this price this anywhere in SG. No way.

Please! this is a restaurant you MUST patronise . One that you CANNOT miss.

Sound exaggerating? Trust me. I am not.

The foods are too good. TOO GOOD!!

Their servings are HUGE. One dish can probably feed two mouths.

Super worth it. Jinjja ma shiss oh yo!!!

Union Square

Union Square is somewhat similar to our Orchard Road. The entire area has 6 major department stores.

Out initaial plan was to get there early and shop around but the traffic was horrendous so we reached late and went straight for dinner. At the Cheesecake Factory again. Haar!

See the steep road?! We drove down that. It's crazy.

When you are at the top, you cant see the front, just like roller coaster.

What an experience. LOL

We waited for an hour plus to get seats in CCF.

See... We waited from day till night. Check out the fog.

We were given this beeping device. It beeps went we got our seat.

The mashed potato is different from what I usually had. It's not just mashed potatoes, but with bacon, corns and some other ingredients too which made it special.

These were the best meal I have ever had at CCF except for the Salmon Firecracker.

Yum yums!!

Apple

We drove to Apple campus which is located at Cupertino. Its main building address is 1 Infinite Loop.

I looks exactly like infinite loop. LOL Many apple buildings in the loop.

You probably would know, Apple will be shifting to the new campus. Which looks like spaceship? And that is actually Steve Job's plan. It's sad that he couldn't witness how the new campus will look like.

This is the Apple Company Stores where visitors can enter. Beside all the electronic stuffs, t-shirts, tumblers, other necessities were sold with the apple logo printed on.

It is a bridge which people says it can't be built.

I don't see why it is called Golden Gate Bridge.. The bridge is red in colour!

These 8 days at CA are fun but I miss my family. I'll be departing from here in the morning and arrive SG the next day midnight. I'll definitely miss this place. Their food, culture, the people, especially the cooling weather, can't find that back in SG. Although this trip is short, it's sure an eye opener.

After 3 odd years, finally I settled down with Auston Institute.
Now that 4 weeks have passed, 1 word, STRESS. Although only two assignments was given, it's was painful.
2 HUGE assignments. Gosh...
Largest headache is that we have to come up with an interactive WEB portal in 10 weeks.
Damn, I ain't web developer. How to come out with such stuff. T.T
BUT no time.. no time to complain... no time to think of negative stuff.
Only hard work and perseverance could pull us through.
I will SURVIVE. JIAYOU!

Have health screening tomorrow. I hope I am well and fine despite having dose funny lymph nodes around. Wish me healthy k!!

OMG! I should have just waited and not get tempted by getting another QWERTY phone when all I thought about, and still think, was the iPhone 4 white!

This phone... Seriously, it's a nono. Expecially if you are a ex-iPhone user.(Not sure about ex-HTC users for I don't use it)

Do not judge a ~~book~~ phone by it's cover.
When you start using it, and the longer it is, the lousier you will find it. Have been trying have to convince myself that I got a great deal but failed =.=

I heard alot of iPhone users complained about the battery life of iPhone.
You say that the battery is lousy? Have you every considered what you used it for?
Endless 3G streaming? (WhatsApp, Skype, facebook, safari, radio, youtube)
Endless media playing (MP3, video)
Endless games playing (Tiny Wings, InfiniBlade)
GPS
Sounds familiar yea?? These are killers, mind you.

LOL people uses "WhatApps" the whole day and they tell me iPhone battery sucks. Haha.
You should be happy that it can still last you the whole day. Even if you are left with just 20% of you battery left. By turning off the 3G, lowering brightness, silence the phone, it can still last you all the way home.

I cannot even use WhatsApp on Samsung Galaxy 551 for half day. Not to mention listening to mp3 or playing games. I think you will cry. Here I am back to iPhone 3G and goodbye to 1 month old Samsung Galaxy 551

Life updates

I am back bloggie. Finally.
I need to change a need layout. It really bores me >.<

Anyways, been lots of ups and downs.

FAMILY
Well spent 2 weeks with brother while he came back for family trip.
Brought him out to nice place for good food. Ky had been a good host hosting us at his place.
Our whole family was bonded fairly well. No.. It should be considered above average already.
Thought that this could last. Hmm...

Hope he faster come back. I missed him!

RELATIONSHIP
Its like a roller coaster ride. Previously it was so stable and everything was on the upper side.
Till that bomb dropped from nowhere. I hope I don't regret giving him that 3rd chance.
It was so painful. And yet I could not let a single soul know about this.. To protect him..
L was the only person whom I can speak too. And I am glad I did opened up to him. It was hard.

Now... Things are going smooth again. No more bombs. Hopefully.

FRIENDSHIP
Have been meeting up with the ladies & busy guys. Putting in effort in maintaining these good friendship. Tough when most of us are busy with their work life/studies/relationship etc.

I cherish our little sister/brotherhood among us all. These will last :)

Ah... This is a love-hate affair.

Finally some rest time for myself!

Went off at noon. Met up with the ladies for high tea buffet and shopping.
收获不少哦。

At Marriott Hotel, we stayed for like 3hours long? Ya, shopping for 3 hours?
Felt fulfilling o :)

But at the same time, it's really one of my unlucky times.

First, I stained my jumper. Got a new bottom from cotton on for $12 and made me feel uncomfortable the whole day.
But well, $12 for a nice skirt and bike shorts. Not a bad deal eh

Secondly, my eye somehow got infected after bathed. My poor parents accompanied me to the KTP a&e in the middle of the night till morning? Ah guilt ridden.
Some how I'm glad that we had a new hospital at yishun.

Thirdly, i think my vitamin C when down the wrong pipe while swallowing it . It hurts when ever I breathe, drink water and worse when I swallow my saliva.. Now the vit C better start to dissolve else I'll suffer the whole night :(

Argh... I'm sooooooo upset la. Got to missed tomorrow's vendor St James event and party at Zouk :(

Please don't do this to me again life... I'll love you from now on..

When was the last time we had so much fun??
It doesn't matter. That was indeed fruitful though we went home empty handed.

That moment, my mind went blank. Stunned for aleast a few seconds before I remember what I was doing previously.

Actually, all this while I'm just doing too much. Thinking that the promise will kept. Human are just curious I guess. Can't blamed. Cause I am too. Probably you don't know but I think I'm more extreme than you. That's makes me feel abit better.

Promises, words are just things that can be said easily. No one is real anyway. I should have known this eariler.

From now on.. I shall just keep my mouth shut and just follow my heart. Life can be so much easier and happier. What's ahead is totally unpredictable. Shan't think. Shan't mention.

Dreams

Last night's dream was weird..
Dreamt 4 different scene and I don't know how things linked. Lol

1) Dreamt of shitting in the toilet. With 3 people in the cubicle. Lol 1 friend and me were like combining forces so that the shit can come out smoothly. The other friend was commanding us and giving us momentum. Lol -.-

2) After scenerio 1, I was out "him". We talked about things that we used to share. However it seems weird for this to happen again. Hmmm...

3) After we parted in scene 2, I ended up in *office
*assuming in office because all my colleagues were they and we were on our way to lunch.
I gave my colleague each an egg so that we can have extra ingredient for lunch!
How funny..

4) so we left scenerio 3, and just outside was a school.. Hall? With stage behind platforms of chair.
We stopped as there were lots of firemen around. Yep, there's fire in school. The rest ran off leaving cheeseng and me standing there. Lol thinking how can we help.
Kids were running out of their seats. We helped by carrying them down.
So how the whole thing ended, firemen were ready to put out the fire on stage. The curtains covering the burning flames. Oh yes, and there was a opening between 2 curtains. And so the kids ran back to their seats to hide!?
1.. 2.. 3..! Fire extinguisher went off. Forcing flames to the middle opening. 2 rows in the middle platform from the stage managed to bend down and hide. But 3 poor kids in the 3rd row were hit by the strong forces of the flames. They died :'(

Was frighten by the scene and woke up. The next thing I know it was 7.50am!!

I have been wanting a Macbook Pro ever since a desktop is no longer that useful to me.

Yesterday I was just rambling about it to them.

And tonight when I came home, a laptop was on my bed. Not Macbook Pro!
But a old laptop with a note left by dad.

"Padma. Reformat and reinstall is as good as new."

Basically, it's a old laptop and dad has reformatted it. Now I feel guilty and touched.

The reason for a laptop was so that I could surf the net in the living room and accompanying my parents while they are watching TV.

He woke me up. Made me realize that what I wanted wasn't what I need.

So.. I won't waste the money and make do with what I have now!

Uncle passed on last Thursday. Eveything comes so sudden and now it's all done and settled. Time flies.

These few days. I learned how to really value and understand the important of kinship. Nothing is more important than that. So cherish before it is too late. Spend more time with your family!

Satuarday's Loreal Dance Off was a blast!
I total love the practices we had with the group. And of cause the Koreans.
Bucky, 2face, Youngster and Jina.
Woohoo! Love Bucky! She's like my idol.
See her cute cute, thin thin. When she krumps, she owns man.. Damn cool
I kinda missed them already. Though I didnt really have much chance to interact with them
. They are a bunch of funny and crazy people!

Monday (14/03/10) was super fun. It's been a long time since I went out with a group of colleagues. Winnie's birthday celebration at Dempsey Rd. 1st we had dinner at Samy'Curry.
The curry was great, so was the rice and the prawns and almost everything.

I pestered the rest to go Ben & Jerry for the cake cutting thingy cause i thought since we are here thats the place I have to go see at least once.

Bad experience. Thats what I can say. They don't allow outside cakes to be cut unless you spend $150 and above there? What rubbish is that.. Good thing SY suggested Harry's :)

Coming to what I wanted to post. Anyone can say "Everyday is Valentine's Day" except you. Because it doesn't make sense when it comes out from your much. Its just words afterall. Purely words with no weigh. Totally sick about that >.<

Not that I'm desperate that I want something on Vday but because nothing happen on normal days and yet its the same for Vday and and our 5th year anni. Even my daddy gives mummy things. Oh my... What am I?

Wanted to start of with thanking Mich for giivin me a chance to experience something new to me!

A chance to dance and perform with instructors from Korea. Stress though cause there will be an audition -.-

Sat was my 1st waackin lesson with bryan. It wasn't even counted as a lesson. He basically transferred the steps he learned from Jina to us. And the people there learnt insanely fast!

As waackin is something new to me and I have not had proper waacking training before, I had difficulties catching up with them!
This time it's way out of my comfort zone. Which makes me afraid and wanting to run away yet something to look forward too at the same time.

A huge challenge and obstacle i have to go through inorder to really gain. I really wanna make full use of this period to improve myself.

Sunday was first krumping lesson. Conducted by Michelle. Another new stuff for me. Large movements, expressive, to release anger and fustrations. I literally threw my whole body, arms, chest out to feel the whole dance.

Now my upper body is aching, so are my joints. I can feel that all my joints are lose now. After 2 whole hours of waackin. The classes are fun :)

Though 2009 have been a crazy year for me, it ended off quite well.

Aww.. Why Starhub don't bring in more Korean channel. Luckily KBS, isn't that bad. Still have Music Bank. Haas!

Gathering and more gatherings.

I simply LOVE "get-together" sessions. Secondary school mates. Poly mates. Cousins.
1 word to describe. "FUN!"

I CANT WAIT FOR MY HAIR TO GROW LONGER!

It's longer than usual and I'm loving it!

My runs.

I did 2 runs after the mid year Sundown Marathon. 15km for Realrun. 10km for SC.
Despite all the blisters, I will still be at Sundown for 21km this year! :)

I love my Family and of cause YOU!

4th June - 5th June 2009 (Night 1 & Day 2)

Caption: My first overseas trip without parents!

This is total shiok-ness. wahaha

After waving "bye" to our parents, off we go to the duty free shops!
and guess what?

we're late for the flight lol.
luckily the plane didnt take off without us on board.

-Changi Airport-

After 5 - 6 hrs of ride, we arrived at Daegu Airport.
Reached our destination safely! thats the most important thing.

-Slacking at Daegu Airport-

1st breakfast was not included, we'd to settle it in the Airport.
Of coz, instead of choosing the usual kind of ABF, we had Korean porridge.

Remember the porridge store in the drama "Boys Before Flower"?
yep! it sells the same kind of food.

-The store, the porridges-

Saw the yellow coloured porridge? Thats pumpkin porridge.
Oh gosh, it tastes AWESOME! hoooo~

The 1st meal was good already!

Our tour group (ASA) consist of 13 people.
2 groups of families.
A group of 4 and 6, plus us, it makes 13

Introducing you to our tour guide Lisa.
She's a mix-blood. Korean & Chinese.

Its quite sad that no one really entertained her, except 1 of the uncle.
haha

The bus journey is quite a pain, i thought
Besides sight-seeing, 3/4 of the whole travelling time we dozed off.
ESPECIALLY kokyong.

The first stop, we went off to ~~pluck~~ harvest fruits

Quite cool and fun! lol hands on lab.

I forgot the name of the fruit.
We brought back the fruits that we've picked.
Suppose to eat it but... every after meal it just too filling to have extra food. like the fruits.
So... We didnt managed to taste our "sweat water" :(

Second stop!
To try on traditional clothing and take pictures in them.

Woohoo~ i looked so farhni!

After all the interesting, creative and cool shots that we took, Kim Chi making session is just at next door!

Look at that man, whats a Korean women without knowing how to make Kimchi?
Nothing. Just a Korean women without husband lol

Its important for Korean women to know how to make kimchi.
So if you've decided to look for Korean husband (eg, zhu), remember to learn this!

Kimchi is so freaking healthy la.
1 of the ingredients is Ginseng.

After lunch and checking in to the hotel, we were brought to this Water Resort.

No complains on the hotel room for that amount of $

The hot outdoor SPA is SHIOK!
I LOVE soaking in the HOT water (temp 39 degress)!
but this time even better, its outdoor under the cool weather :D
It was even drizzling at that time.

That was the first time me and zhu tried the public naked spa.
It sooooooooo uncomfortable looking at all the.. hmm.. ~~hanging papayas & bushes~~

So shocked when we first stepped in and to see our tourguide standing naked infront of us.
LOL

Hungry Go Where??!
Dinner Time! Steamboat cuttlefish and pork.

Their steamboat is so heavenly. Im starting to miss the food there...
Especially the rice! Awwww~

BAck to the water resort for some shopping.
Looking for local snacks!
I remembered the mushroom chocolate biscuit that we used to eat 5 yrs back with Deyi M&D :)

& Yusoff stays in tpy

& Pad stays at Yishun

And before we go to Sengkang for dinner,
Yusoff is leaving GIS!!

So.. yep! dinner at cheeseng's area

He brought us to Brewbaker's at SengKang CC
Not bad!

Had lunch at KHA which is located @ Hort Park
It is a Thai restaurant.

I find the way his eats very cute so i took a pic of him eating :X
A whole steam fish is the main dish, while the rice is a side.
Cute hor..

-Front dish: 1 whole fish. Behind it was a plate of rice :D-

1st dish. The appetitezer.
oooooo sooo nice.
I only had half of it and its so not enough.

Recommend -Grilled Chicken-

This soup taste like thin curry.
Watery curry? yet it still taste so good!

Recommend - Soup-

This basket contains white cooked rice.
Its a interesting way of serving rice.
Which caters the right portion to different stomach.

Oooohh.. this curry chicken taste so gooood.
I love the gravy. not really the chicken.

I dont know.
The taste was good but I dont think its fresh.

Few days back daddy came in and show me a newspaper advert on
"Harlem Globetrotters"
and he asked if kok wanna go along too..

I was abit skeptical at first coz i dun really watch basketball
but shall go since it is a family outing

Still can remember vividly when i was younger, dad always bring us to the stadium to watch soccer match!
Thats when i learnt this "referee kayu!"
hahhaha

The last time i was at Indoor Stadium was at 2004?
for NDP Pract!

but 1st first watching a show here.
Got so excited!

See the crowd
and i didnt see anyone went for the cheapest tix!
the $68 seats were full! for 2 sides
hahhaha

They are simply amazing!

It was so fun cheering for the team

When the newspaper advert shows "Action" and "Comedy"
I thought... what can they do with basketball to make a fool out of themselve?
Stupid and crazy ideas came gushing into my brain.
well, they did make a "fool" out of others
but it was so natural and professionally done.
can u imagine in the middle of a game, a player suddenly walks up to the audiences and grab a young kid to turn him upside down?
i was shocked but the kid seems to be having fun too.
and so are the rest of the audiences.
Now then i know how they actually incoperate sports actions with comedy.

Transportation is always a problem
when there's huge crowd!

What a headache!

Anyway i was complaining away while taking pics at the stadium.

The place is flooded with people

and im surprised actually

Queueing up for this "milk rice"
which they want to share it with us.

Gautama Buddha accepted the golden bowl filled with milk-rice. Then he walked to the riverbank, took bath in the Suppatthita and then ate the food. This was his only meal, which he took after forty-nine days of fasting. After that Buddha attained enlightenment.

Option 1
- Put yourself in other people's shoe.
- Think through how you would react & feel
- If you feel cool, consult the person who's angry with you.
- Explain your reactions and ask why would he/she feel otherwise.
- If you feel likewise, i guess you will know what to do next.

Option 2
-Fuck care

Option 3
- Act blur
- You can do this once, twice.. maybe thrice, if you're in luck
- The fourth time, I think you better hide at home.

For people who choose to follow the 2nd & last option, it's time that you learn & practise to reflect your own actions. There's definately someway which you have to improve on. Put your ego down. Never be afraid to say "sorry".
You deserve the respect from people.

Tatoo alll over. But they are super friendly! & nice

The boss of "Eighteen Chefs" went to UK to learn from a famous chef at "Twelve Chefs"
I wonder why they name it this way...

and the surrounding looks familiar, i knew we were at west area.

I dun think i'll ever be back here again (unless with colleagues) because kok wun ever bring me here since its so far away :(

we celebrated our 4th yr n V'day
was again *surprised by kok with a rose outside my door step
this time. its a real rose
and i love the colour! its a peach pink rose :)

*surprise - receiving rose from him is an uncommon thing. haha!

we went down to Novena for late lunch?
Korea BBQ.
finally tried it. its freaking expensive so we wanted to try it on the right day
lol

This is how to eat the BBQstuffs.

1) Take a piece of vege.

2) Place the meat & onion (if you like) on it.

3) Wrap it up.

4) Dip some sauce.
Actually i dunno if its suppose to dip like that or.. dip your meat then place it on the vega.
Well.. anyway that you prefer.

5) Last but not least. Stuff it in to you mouth.
This is wad happen when you dun open big enough for the whole thing to go in. lol

Comments abt the food.
hmmm.. think its OK only.. not that fasinating..
and the price is way too high.. prolly the chinatown 1 is better.

just started watching this hongkong drama series

" The Seventh Day" 最美麗的第七天

and i didnt expect to finish the whole series today.
romantic & touching..
fit in today.

Luckily the ending wasnt that tragical

Tears tickled like mad
during some touching scene.
i got so engrossed into the show.
felt sooo happy for them. hahaha

This story is abt 2 guys who were born on the same day but lead a totally different life.

Finally! i get to meet up with the gang!
the last time was like?? when seng going into army?

was introduced to this Japanese Marche like thingy
It wasnt as good as i thought.. hmmm

wass finding a place to slack.
and we ended up at.. i dunno?
ahahha a cafe somewhere in the middle of the shopping centre

so the rest of us when off to fetch xueqi
n just nice! we weere in time to catch the fireworks!

haha! so thats how we spent out last day of 2008. I bet this will be the last time in town for countdown

We had an early celebration for daddy! his actually bday on the 9thJAn
Bro brought us to this Thai restuarant which is somewhere at chong pang

ITs so freaking cheap.
We had pineapple rice, prawns, 1 whole fish, chicken wings, vege, 1 claypot toufu & 2 soups for 6 pple!
and it cost $64 :)

Lovely durian cake(Emi) kor kor n da sao bought!
ahh.. grandparent with their grandkid hehhe

had a surprise from San!
She brought me to this special place and said that i would love this place
"The Cookie Musem"
I really love this place.

Yep a place which sells all kinds of cookies ranging from the usual
chocolate, almond(classic) to rose, lavender,orhid(floral) to the unusual yet familiar taste nasi lemak, tom yum, he bee hiam(local delicacies) .

We liked the fact they actually put in the effort to bake the cookies into super mini size for testing purpose
Small but just nice & right to taste the cookies.

How did we end up there?

The lucky gal was invited to be the cookie sampler & allowed to bring a friend along. So.. there i was! Since i was with her since morning & even to have lunch with Xian Yin :)

The ambious is different from other cafes/restaurant.
Instead of the usual classic feeling that we always get, royality was what we felt.
They service is commendable.

It said to be 1 and only cookie museum in the world and its local :)

09Jan09 (Korean Food)

smart smart kok found a nice place for dinner!
woot~! Korean cuisine~ weee~~

They come with refillable side dishes! and they are all so delicious
seriously, each a bowl of rice and this can be a meal already.

ahahha. Ginseng chicken soup is a must have food. ah i think i realli miss the Ginseng Chicken Noodle soup in Korea >.<
Kok loves the soup. i preferred the other soup, the spicy toufu! :)
wahhhh..

Its.. not as expensive as what we thought.. Its much cheaper than Japanese Ramen
Anyway its at Chinatown.

Since we are already at Chinatown.
Lets go for a nice round of dessert for supper! :)

The milk pudding is too.. milky! i cant take it
kok actually finished it up for me.
